Unfortunately, the original Rapid Patch has been discontinued. So we researched and tested several potential replacements and found Maxim Adhesive and Repair Material. Like Rapid Patch, it is a black, two component urethane that quickly repairs or glues urethane molds, parts, and pattern equipment.
Maxim is packaged in a "caulk type" tube that dispenses both components through a static mix nozzle, eliminating measuring and mixing. Package size is 8.45 fluid ounces (250 mL), so you are getting 46% more material than Rapid Patch at a lower price! A standard caulking gun is used for dispensing.
This product features a 5 minute gel time and may be sanded or machined in 25 minutes. This product is supplied with 2 mixing nozzles, but additional nozzles may be purchased in packs of 12.
