Milled Glass (Glass Flock) is mixed with laminating resin to produce a thixotropic paste used for cementing honeycomb egg crating or fiberglass tubing. Also used for fillets when laminating to reduce egg shelling of sharp corners.
Ren® RP 32 Glass Fibers are continuous fiberglass filaments hammer-milled into specific lengths. Used as reinforcing fillers in thermosetting compounds to improve physical properties and to add to resins to create splining and reinforcing pastes.
This filler basically consists of ground-up fiberglass. It adds good strength in cases where you’re looking to preserve the resin’s mechanical properties. It is often used for bonding, or for filling voids where strength is needed.
